Kokoda Trail 2 - Lifestyle Adventure Training

Your Kokoda Experience

4 Months Pre-departure

Your ‘once in a lifetime’ experience doesn’t just start when you touch down in Port Moresby. Pre-departure support and training is extremely important to give you piece of mind that you are physically prepared and ready to get the most out of this amazing adventure.

Group meetings with your experienced guide, Marc Stafford, & fellow trekkers, an ‘on demand’ 14 week physical preparation program and schedule weekend hikes are all part of your pre-departure experience.


7 nights / 8 days Kokoda Experience

Your adventure in Papua New Guinea is eights days in total with six unforgettable days on the track giving you a great appreciation of the conditions endured by Australian Diggers during WWII. You will also experience village culture, get an understanding of local living conditions, and immerse yourself in the natural wonders of the Owen Stanley Ranges.

Walking the Kokoda Track involves 50 hours of hiking over 90km of sharp, timbered ridges, steep-sided valleys and fast flowing rivers. Vantage points along the trail reveal magnificent mountain landscapes, and a wide variety of flora and fauna is encountered.

​As there are no rest days with this expedition it is physically challenging. However be rest assured with our preparation training program you will be well prepared for this unforgettable journey.

Day 1 - Arrive Port Moresby
Day 2 - Fly to Popondetta and drive to Kokoda for start of trek. Trek to Deniki
Day 3 - Deniki to Eora Creek via Isurava Battlefield. Visit Con's Rock along the way
Day 4 - Eora Creek to Kagi
Day 5 - Kagi to Menari via Brigade Hill
Day 6 - Menari to Ioribaiwa
Day 7 - Ioribaiwa to Owers Corner. Visit Bomana War Cemetery
Day 8 - Port Moresby to home or onto another PNG destination
